A report released by the Mortgage Bankers’ Association said Wednesday that mortgage application volume rose a seasonally adjusted 17.7% in the week ended June 11th from the previous week. The increase reflected demand trickling in after the payback effect from the April 30 expiration of first time homebuyers’ credit was felt in the past few weeks.
